Transfer after 1 year to the USA/UK

    Advertisements

I have read that if i apply to either Masaryk university or Charles university (first faculty) I can, 'transfer faculties (or to and from U.K. and U.S. universities) are possible after the first year'

    Is this true?
Does anyone know anyone or is currently in the process of doing this?

Nope...You can transfer from the UK but it's impossible to transfer to the UK.British universities don't allow transfers, even between themselves. It's possible for British students to transfer from a UK medical school to another,in the clinical years if both universities have an agreement. For example,Saint andrews allows students to do their clinical years in the rural area of Scotland through Aberdeen and Oxford students can transfer to queen marry to do their clinical years in London if they want to.
As for the US,have in mind European medical schools run 6 year programmes for high school graduates. The MD in America lasts four years and it's a "master's degree".

It's a doctoral degree in the States, and it comes after the completion of a bachelor's degree. In Europe it is a master's degree, but they are considered equivalent training.

Transfer to a US medical school from overseas is almost impossible, and certainly nothing to bank on. There are a FEW US medical schools that will accept a transfer student (assuming high USMLE Step One scores, great grades, and often high MCAT scores as well), but this is not a commonplace situation. Again, DO NOT BANK ON IT.
