How is student life in Prague for a foreign medical student

    Advertisements

How is student life in Prague, if you study at lets say the third faculty of medicine.

Do you have any contact with students from other faculties, are there social events for all students at the whole university. How is it with sports, does the university have its own sports center. Are there social events, student clubs etc.

Reason I am asking all this is, well, if one is to study something that demands perhaps 10 hours a day of dedication. Then one would have to be able to do other activities, both social and physical, just in order to stay somewhat sane.

Umm I don't study there but come on it's PRAGUE what do you think the social life is like lol It's one of the night-life capitals of the world. Renowned also for it's culture, history, architectre and just about everything else. I couldn't think of a better city to study in. (It's expensive though, and as always NA/UK universities will provide better education and job opportunities post graduation). Your there to study not play remember that.

I agree with what Eternalstudent said. There are tons of activities (night-life being one of the best). I study at the First Fac., so I can't really talk much about the 3rd fac. except for the fact that it's a bit far away (in Prague 10)...which is where the university gym is.

Also there are tons of private gyms where you get discounts if you take up an annual membership or something. As any other city, the opportunities and social activities are endless (from ice rinks to swimming pools to pubs, clubs and restaurants)....as long as you have the money. I personally feel that Prague is a lot cheaper when compared to the other Western European cities or where I lived in the States (Washington D.C.)

    Good luck!
