Density should not be on your list

DSUM Should NOT be on your list of offshore medical schools:

here is a better list to go by:
Caribbean Medical Schools - Online Guide - Offshore Medical Schools, Foreign Medical Schools, International Medical Schools

    or:
    In alphabetical order:
    Antigua (Antigua): UHSA / AUA
    AUC ** (St Maarten)
    IAU (St Lucia)
    MUA (Nevis)

    Ross ** (Dominica)
    Saba ** (Saba)
    Spartan (St Lucia)
    St Eustasius (St Eustasius)
    St Georges ** (Grenada)

    St Matthews (Grand Cayman)
    UAG * (Mexico)
    UNIBE (Dominican Republic)
    UWI * (Barbados) (Jamaica) (Trinidad)
    Windsor (St Kitts)

** California approved English language medical schools, located in the Caribbean, that offer the third and fourth years of medical
school (Clinical Rotations) in the United States.

    * California approved English language medical schools, located in the Caribbean or Mexico, where all medical school years (Basic
Sciences and Clinical Rotations) are done in the charter country.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The biggest is not the best. Destiny is a medical school with very high standards. To understand this concept in the context of high standards an examination of goals, expectations and outcomes will prove that Destiny University is a medical University of "exemplary" status. Your destiny is waiting for you at "Destiny University School of Medicine."

DSUM as a poor choice for prospective MDs

IN THIS CASE THERE IS NO COVER, AND THE CONTENT IS RUBBISH
There are far better schools to choose from, with solid track record.

It's great, it sucks, tastes great, less filling....does the truth lie somewhere in between?

Is it still active and are their students becoming practicing physicians anywhere?

I remember when everyone chortled at the mention of St Georges, but they seem to have come a long way and are doing well. Is Destiny so different? Is there litigation pending against them or something?

    Why such angst?

I guess there's always hesitation and doubt when faced w/ a school that has little track record. SGU took 30+ years to pull it off, so upstarts like this school have a tough hill to climb in order to become reputable.

They've been open since '01 according to their information thread, so I'm thinking that they should have had a graduating class by now.

It's funny that UHSADOC decided to include windsor in the "better list to go by". I guess 30 grads and change in its 10 year history = enough street cred huh? lol

    Dear Bern2,

I am a transferring student about to enroll for the third and fourth semesters, I wanted to ask you if you help me with some information about those who have actually graduated from this school.

    These are my questions?

    1. Does the school current have students in the US residency program?

    2. Other than California and perhaps Texas who may have blacklist this program because it has an element of long distance program, which other states should I state away? I know that Arkansas will accept students from this school because of their medical law, the questions, which other States will welcome students coming from Destiny?
    3. How many students do you personally know are currently enrolled in this school (first and second semesters; third and fourth semesters; and fifth through 8 semester)?

    4. How do you enjoy the program? Do you feel like you are learning a lot, that is whether you in the long distance or campus based?

    5. How well does Dr. Harrington prepare His students for first step of USLME and how many students do actually pass. I guess I am asking for their support level.

Please kindly let me know these answers because I have to make up my mind in a few days whether to pay for my tuition.

    Thank you for quick response.

    Sincerely,

    Destinytobe

    3. of the 4 states that have grads with unrestricted full licenses, which ones have grads that did your distance learning/online program?
