    Need Electives

    Advertisements

    Hi, everyone.

I'm an MUA Nevis student. I moved to Oklahoma City to do most of my cores, and they will be finished in March. The hospital where I am decided that they will no longer allow our students to schedule electives. I have spent most of my 3rd year here, so I do not really have any connections elsewhere.

I have called several places, but they all say the same thing--no foreign medical students allowed. The clinical medicine office at MUA is not helpful.

My wife is expecting. Her due date is 7/29. This makes things even more difficult. I really cannot have her trapsing all over the country.

Most of the hospitals in Oklahoma City do not accept foreign medical students. Does anyone know of any hospitals that will in the region (including the surrounding states)?

    Thanks!

    Steven

try new york. Lots of FMGs there. Check the affiliated hospitals for some of the other caribbean schools - SGU, AUC, Ross, Saba.
