    Acmge Required

    Advertisements

Hi, I read in this forum that there are some states like Alabama, Connecticut, California, Florida, etc, that require you to do ACMGE clinical rotation (medical school 3rd and 4th year), so it means that for example if you go to a medical school in some other country like Dominican republic, Haiti, etc, doesnít matter if your school is in the California list you can not get licensed in that state because you didnít do ACMGE rotations? Iím very confuse, can someone explain me how it works?

    acgme rotations

If you use the search link above, use keywords like "acgme" or "greenbook" and you will come up with tons of discussions on this. I was going to copy and paste you some information, but there is an overwhelming amount so I'm just going to refer you to search and read.

Hi, Julestx, I read a few posts and I arrived to the conclusion that if you go to a foreign medical school where you do your clinical rotation in the US, the clinical rotations should be ACMGE, because some states required it. But if you go to any other medical school were you do your basic sciences and clinical rotations in the foreign country you will not have any problem at the time you apply for a license in states like Florida, etc, please tell me if Iím right ?
