    transfer students and PBL

    Advertisements

At this time any pre-clinical student can transfer to CMU and take full advantage of the PBL curriculum. There is no need to have had any special prerequisites at any other school to qualify one for PBL.

It would be nice if MD3 could have PBL classes too.

I agree it would be nice to insert PBL into each semester of the curriculum. Most American schools use some form of PBL in the MD1 program. Knowledge base is not a defining factor; expertise is not the limiting factor. Simply put, time is the culprit. The Dean can not add everything to the curriculum that the curriculum committee suggests. We would have school from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and students would have no time to study.
