    england vs cairo re licensing

    Advertisements

    hey
I no an IMG is an IMG,, no matter from where
I am canadian and my dream is to practice here. I can go to st,chris in england and do 4 semster of premed and then 5 of basic sciences then all my clinical rotations in the US. (stchris is chartered in senegal but has a campus in luton england)
or I can go back to university of cairo (more of a reputation) and finish about another 5 years of med school there,,, clinicals done there.
p.s I dont have any premed,,, i think it;s too late to look into that,,,,
which do u all think would make things easier for me regarding licensing afterwards.

Okay, I will take a guess at this...

St. Chris. English versus Arabic. North American clinical experience versus Mid-Eastern. Less political/social turmoil (I think).

Cairo. No tuition, well established institution.

    yeh

...the only pyramids you'll see in england are on my girls chest...ooooohh tasteless joke sorry, i need sleep

if your school is 'American/Canadian" based then go there i think it will be harder to get back to canada no matter what....i thought its been advised to simply give up being a doc in canada bc its so hard to get back no matter where u go...

    Staying...

I heard that England is also in need of doctors...have you considered working there? If St. Chris will be able to give you a foot into England it may be worth a shot.
