    Wow! Some astounding numbers in here.

    There currently are an estimated 3570 CSAs!
    650 in Ireland and 550 in Australia alone

    The other amazing factoid is that almost 30% didn't even apply to a Canadian school - EVER - before heading abroad! (Your average CMG applies three times before getting in).

    You can bet about 1000 are in the Carib with all the smaller schools included.

    EDIT: nvm it's estimated at 2000 now that I read it.

    True....interesting, they do not have much success in getting a residency in Canada. I think its the other way around in the US.....the match rate for Carib students seems to be pretty high.

    I only did high school i think i will have a lot of problems getting into residency anywhere, should the school i attend give me a BSc, if they can. This is because i have done the premed in the carib school.

    Can anyone help please

    I wish they also surveyed UK med schools. I've been hearing of more and more Canadians studying medicine in the UK (I'm one of them) and it'd be nice to know some numbers... is there anyone with more hard facts?
