Conditional Permanent Resident vs Permanent Resident

    Advertisements

Hello....Just wondering if anyone has heard about programs denying interviews based on the fact that you are a conditional permanent resident vs a permanent resident. Both have the same entitlements and allow you to legally work in the US but I have heard some stories about programs denying interviews to people with the 'conditional status'. I have recently been married and have applied to become a conditional permanent resident, which is what I will be at the time I start residency in July 2008, but am considering applying as a permanent resident (no condition) anyways.

Just wondering if anyone has been down this path or has any advice.

    Thanks

As long as you are allowed to work without a visa, and they hvae no reason to believe that your marriage is fake, then you should not have a problem.

Plus, you don't have to tell them it is conditional if they do nto ask, since it is only conditional if you try to leave the person before your two-year period is over.
