    there are exceptions to the informed consent.. can you name them?














    1. patient waives the right of informed consent
    2. emergency
    3. patient is legally incompetent
    4. more harm than good is done re: informed consent

    the last exception is what most would call.. "therapeutic privilege"--withholding information when disclosure would harm the patient or undermine the decision-making capacity of the patient
