    someone please help me

    Advertisements

hello, i recently got accepted into this school and am trying to find more information on it. if there is anyone out there who can help me i would greatly appreciate it.
    1) is this a good school? what is its standing in comparison to ross and saba?
    2) which campus is better, does it matter at all?
    3) is their degree accepted everywhere in US or is it one of those that is not accepted in california and other places?
if anyone goes to this school and has any comments and can help me anyway, please do.
    thank you

Xavier Medical School is definitely one of the better medical school among Caribbean Medical Schools. We can't compare the medical schools as you said. But as students at Xavier school, we are very happy with quality of education we receive at school. The teachers at Xavier are very professional and knowledgeable. They very much train the students for board exams. Students are also happy with clinical rotations. 100% guaranteed clinical rotations. The rest depends on how student works hard. You don't regret for your decision if u join in Xavier.

    Be Aware of Government Changes

Hi, Bonaire, Saba, St. Eustatius and maybe some other islands will become part of Holland soon-2010. There is an organization called the NVAO that will be the accrediting body. I know there was a site visit in the fall of 2008 by the org. to all the island schools but so far only a report about Saba. Suggest you check out NVAO website; contact azskeptic for real advice. Good Luck to you, Yossarrian

Anyone will be accepted to this school if you pay tuition. Its not that hard to get in.
The island of Bonaire is a dump, and the locals are rude! Everything is expensive, except Polar Beer. Pay the extra money and go to Saba, their so well organized. And NO, their credits are not accepted in the US, nor can you get into Cali. =)

    To Yossarrian and TorontoMD

    Hi,

My name is Anita and I am the current SGA President at Xavier University School of Medicine, Bonaire. In response to your statement about NVAO, NVAO is in no way an accreditation organization. They strictly go around and assess the various campuses. Yes we had a visit here in December 2008 as did the other medical school on this island. However, even their assessment is not valid after just one visit. It takes multiple visits over a course of 2-3 years. Hope this clarifies any misconceptions you may have had.

Also, this island is not a dump. Yes it has more of the desert look but it also has the perfect atmosphere to study in. The reason why I chose Bonaire over any other island is that there are not many distractions on this island. You are not tempted to go out clubbing every thurs, fri, and sat night. However, there is still plenty of things to do if you want to take a break from studying. As far the locals go--if you stay out of their way and treat them with respect--you won't have any problems with them. If you're worndering about the few robberies that take place here--most aren't caused by locals yet are caused by people from other islands who immediately flee Bonaire once they do something.

    ***** ,

Hi , I am a potential student at Xaviers, Bonaire .

What scope does an asian student have in terms of getting core clinical rotations in the US considering i clear the eligibility for clinicals. I mean immigration wise since i ain't a US citizen or PR .

Which visa category would this fall into . Who issues it ( college / hospital ).
