Good day everyone, I was recently accepted to st. Eustatius, Aureus, st. james and am waiting to hear from saba and mua. Could some current and former students please shed some light on these schools I would really appreciate it. I know the situation with st eust and its NVAO and ny approval it does scare me , so please any kind of unbiased input would be appreciate it.. thanks in advance...

Come to Avalon. This school is located in Island of Curacao. This school is listed with WHO and IMED. Curacao is an autonomous country like Aruba and doesn't require NVAO. I attended this school. Well qualified and knowledgeable faculty and are very approachable.

I have friends who went to St. E. and have done very well for themselves in the match and thereafter. However, (and this is a big freaking "however"), they graduated in the past, and you will be graduating in the future... which does not look nearly as rosy for FMG/IMGs.

If you can go to the States. That should be your #1 option. #2 option should be D.O. #3 option should be the BIG 4. That includes AUC, ROSS, St. Georges, and Saba. So if you exhausted options 1 and 2, try to also apply for AUC, Ross and St. Georges. AUC, ROSS and St. Georges have US fed loans and have 50 state approval. Saba you need to fork up your own money, and the island is literally a Rock with nothing really on it. I went to AUC. St. Martin is the best island out of all of these. St. George is arguably the best school out of all these due to more clinical spots and longer history of successful students but it is super expensive. If I were to do it over again I'd still pick AUC. So probably AUC=St. Georges>ROSS (just based on they give you loans, I hear they take 400 students per class and just make it really hard and fail out most to basically steal your money) > Saba (I hear you get an excellent education, but no loans and nothing to do on that island puts it last for me).

I would avoid the other caribbean schools. If anything, you should think about AUA or St. Matthews next if you have too. I wouldn't go to St. James, Aureus or any of those. They are not really proven. Focus on the schools past matches and Step 1 passing rates. Good luck hope this helps.

no problem. I really don't know much about Aureus. I would really try to stick to the big 4 if you can, and St. matthew is pretty good from what I hear from my one friend who had to transfer there. Good thing is its on Grand cayman which is a nice place to be as well. Good luck

Has anyone been able to locate a grad. of USAT-Montserrat? Surely by now they should have at least one or two.
