I have a buddy looking for a roommate in one of the nicest places but in order to rent from the owners you have to basically have your cleanliness and organization level almost perfect and not party. Its not cheap per month but its the nicest on the island. PM me if you want.

We're leaving a really nice 2BD/1BA in Cote D' Azure Marina. Good place with an awesome view of the lagoon for only $1700/month. It's a med student's dream.

    Cote d'AZur

How far is Cote d'Azur from AUC and is it safe for female student to walk from school to these apts. Any other security information will be really helpful.

    Thanks!

It is past CIA, but before Regency Park. It is safe to walk there, but if ever you feel unsafe at night the guards can drive you home.

I am leaving a studio in Cote d'Azur Marina mid month. The rent is $1000 a month plus electricity and internet. It is within walking distance to AUC. My post is in the classified section, if you are interested. Otherwise, a word of caution to the incoming students, try to rent closer to the school if you can. It is hard to drive most places in a timely manner on this island. While 5-10 miles may seem close you need to keep in mind the speed limit is low, the pot holes are large, and the speed bumps are numerous. Also, it gets dark between 6:00 to 6:30 so walking or biking are not the best options. Good luck with your search and enjoy your time on St. Maarten!

Its about 6-7 minutes depending on whether its normal or marina and where in there it is. Its about as safe as you would expect (ie just dont be stupid) as there is fairly constant student flow as a huge chunk of the student body lives down that way.

I have a 2 bd at Rainbow Beach Club that is for rent. It is the nicest placest near school with 2 central A/C, 3 pools, beach access, gym, covered parking, 24 hr security, and a panoramic ocean view from the apartment. You can walk to school. Half of the monthly rent is 1300.
I have another student who is extremely interested but is having trouble finding a room-mate bc he isn't on the island yet. If you are interested, PM me.

How much do you generally pay for your electricity, water and internet? Also, is there a laundry facility around there? I've heard AUC has $10/load, which seems expensive, any other options?

    Thanks!
