Just giving feed back on my experience in Regency Park for other students.

I'm a 3rd semester student at AUC, and I have lived at Regency Park the entire time. Regency Park is a 5 minute walk from school. Its always being maintained, with the grass freshly cut, a huge pool thats cleaned probably 2 times a week. It is a gated community and all the neighbors are friendly and helpful, all you have to do is ask for help. What's great about units is that they are equipped with new appliances including a washer/dryer, frig , electric stove, and wireless interent. Most of the places around here have a few washer/dryers for a large building and others don't have any machines at all. Also, as for the internet it is already installed, so there is no requirement for purchasing extra devices as you would have to if you would live in many other places. As for the landlord, he is flexible and always tries to find a solution to any and all issues, he is not always around on the island, but he is always reachable via e-mail or cellphone. Plus if there is any problem there is a handy-man/security guy who lives in Regency Park and is available practically 24 hours if any problems do occur.

That is great to know since I will be a new tenant there on 23 August. I really liked the pictures and the 2 bdr was good size. Thanks for the information as it quells a little of my anxiousness. See you next month.

maybe it was just me or the pictures that i saw, but regency park looked a bit ghetto...not trying to offend anyone, esp the tenants, but yeah...it looked a little dated and the grass was non-existent

Got pictures or a web page to look at? How about a recommendation on which floor is best? I am looking at a 1 BR and I know they have 3 available.

    Thanks.

To those who may be looking at Regency, I will also vouch for it. I lived there for a year and couldn't have been happier. I don't know what pictures the above poster has looked at, but unless something has changed in the last couple of weeks, the grass is still very much alive. Some of the pictures in other threads that show an aerial view are a couple of years old and things have changed a lot since then. Regency is only a year and a half old. I was actually the first person to live in my apartment. I liked having the new appliances, especially having the washer/dryer in my apartment. That is pretty rare around campus. I was able to do my laundry during the day as I studied without having to keep track of the time so I could go collect my laundry from another part of the building. The landlord was very flexible with me and I never had any problems with him. There is also a guy who lives there all the time and if there is something wrong he will take care of it. The internet is pretty good and you don't have to do anything about it. The whole place is wireless and while not perfect all the time (meaning it might be down for an hour or two tops every few weeks), it is faster and more reliable than what you can find elsewhere. Overall, it was a pretty good experience considering I signed a lease sight unseen and had no idea what to expect as many of you are now doing. If you have any other questions let me know.
