I'm surprised this post hasn't been deleted yet.. im pretty sure Kaplan has bullied most forums and auction sites into stopping the sale of their books. I know they are trying to protect their investment because the books are 90% of the info they sale in their "Course". Even though the videos are nice and the online stuff is nice, the books are the MEAT and the most important. So they stop the sale of their "Lecture Notes" anyway they can, they call then Lecture Notes and NOT Texts, this allows them legal room to fight the Fair Use Docturne. Which allows the resale of legally purchased textbooks to 2nd party's regardless of copyright restrictions.

It makes me mad that most sites choose the cowards way out and bow to Kaplans legal teams request instead of standing up for what they believe is legal. The can call them lecture notes instead of Textbooks, but that doesn't change what they are. If you want to sell your LEGALLY PURCHASED books, and they want to restrict their resale by sending you a Cease and Desist Letter, fight back. Check out all the Case President of Fair Use Docturne and examples.

They want to charge 2000.00 for their books by packaging them in "Courses" when most people only need the books to study from. But who would buy a set of books for a grand or more, but most some people will buy "Course" that includes Online Access to tools and Qbank as well as a lecture series on video or live that just reiderates what is in the texts themselves.

    Ok, im off my soapbox.

My favorite part about Kaplan is their dedication to keeping us up to date with the newest information possible so that we can excel on both usmle step one and in clinical practice.
Quote from the most current Kaplan med micro review tape in the computer lab, "Many experts are predicting the production of an HPV vaccine. This vaccine could potentially be released in a couple of years if things go as planned. So, this is definitely something to look out for in the news."

I am surprised that I have not had to remove it yet either. I am awaiting the email.

Whiskers are not included because the person who had the books never had a cat or other whiskered animal around them.

As for why would you want to buy the books since the school provides them. Well from talking to student government, which I think two of you posting actually attend the meetings, the current third semester class is going to be the last to have the Kaplan class in 5th semester unless something changes by that time. Also, maybe people want to use the books before they are in 5th semester.
