Wanted...couple of wannabe sailors at SXM on break

    Advertisements

I have looked around the island and now that I have some time I was wanting to try something I have always wanted to do: learn how to sail.

For those of you here on break, there is an instructor at the Yacht club who is offering 10hrs of instruction for 200.00. Pretty good deal, but the catch is that he would like to have at least three students.

If this is something you may be interested in, PM me and hopefully there are two of you out there who would like to try this.

    Regards...

PS: Thought I would mention that completing this course will allow you to be able to rent sailboats (26' Hunter very good for three people) for 110.00/4h on the lagoon if you would like to in the future.

If this was an invitation to become pirates and if I was on the island over break I would love to do this.

Mich that's really cool.. is the 10 hours spread out over 2 days? How does that work, and where exactly is the Yacht club?

Glad to see you are interested "11"

First, the Yacht club is next to the Simpson Bay bridge...on the far side if traveling from AUC.

The lessons would be in the morning. The instructor said he likes to go out for about 2.5 hrs. Long enough to learn, but just about the right amount of time before things get tiring.

I would like to start in the next day or two and I was willing to pay 600.00 to be able to do it. If you are willing to take the course, I would pay 400.00 while it would still be 200.00 for you.

The boats comfortably ride with three....therefore I think two students would be ideal.

PM me for details and when you can start if you are still interested.

PS: I can drive if you need a way to get there.

Well...considering it is going to take 4 days and they may not be consecutive, so more like 5 or 6 days...I will need to start soon to get it done before school starts.

    No worries.

Like I said in the initial post...these boats will be available to rent at 110.00/4h...so only about 35 bucks per person split three ways.

I would be more than happy to take others out...time permitting.

The real fun comes from the fact that apparently there are regattas/races on sat morning and there are usually more than a few capts looking for crewmembers. This would at least provide a foundation to be able to do it.

    Oh...almost forgot...AARRGGGHHH me harty
