so far the clinicals process has been great for me. plan ahead, get your scores in and it all takes care of itself. the popular spots get filled fast so if you have your heart set on a place, take step one as soon as you can and get your name in there. remember that this is the caribbean, we get all the left overs after the Us students, so be prepared to take your second choice if you don't want to wait. once i am settled in i will start scheduling my electives so i will post on how that goes but so far AUC has exeeded my expectations. i never expected ivy league clinicals or a cheap tuition so maybe that has something to do with my outlook...either way 8 months and i start electives, 15 months and i'l be Dr rrod....scary isn't it?

I know this is going to sound like a wierd question, but will we be allowed to do more than the 72 weeks of rotations that are required if we want to, or will the school not allow us to??
Life is short, live it to the fullest!
If you fail a few weeks' rotations, you will be 'allowed' to repeat them.... but only if you want to graduate.
Actually, no, they won't be included on your transcript, but if you want to 'shadow' a few docs, I don't think there's anything anyone can do to stop you. But I think when you get to that point, you'll probably be ready to quit.
Just my $0.02
bleh
I vaguely remember that you can do more than the 72weeks but you gotta pay for it out of your own pocket(naturally). Call MEAS to make sure... We're not the best source of info for this stuff.

You can choose to do additional elective rotations, but you must not only pay the extra tuition, per week, but also malpractice insurance coverage.
