I have a place you might like. I have a house a few miles from NUMC. I rent the 2nd floor out to med students doing rotations nearby. Right now occupied by med students doing rotations in Brooklyn and LIJ. Furnished, comes with its own bath. I'm posting it on craigslist. Takes 12 mins to get there by car. Do a yahoo maps check with the address. No you cannot walk there from here.

I am a single mother w/ a Wall Street job. Kids are expensive.

I have references. Know any landlords with references?

Room is $285/wk. During the summer there are new residents flowing in while NUMC gets its housing act together. Rent includes water, electric, heat, trash, Cablevision with personal LCD tv, Optimum Online. Private bath inside the room. Quiet because I cater to med students.

Basic cooking -- induction burner, personal refridgerator, microwave. Very nice.

I live downstairs with daughter who is now in college. High taxes for school district. Taxes tripled after I bought the house, thank you Tom Suozzi, so I have to make it up somewhere. Med students work out really well.

Fully Furnished One Bedroom Apt. Near Nassau University Medical Center Available NOW[/B].

Hello: We have a fully furnished one bedroom apartment for rent to Medical Students doing their rotation at Nassau University Medical Center or other near by locations. We are currently renting to a Medical Student doing a rotation at NUMC for the month of April. Therefore, the apartment is available for May and thereafter. The monthly rent is $1,150 and includes use of all furnishings (of course) which include leather sectional couch & 50 inch t.v. in livingroom and a full bedroom suite and smaller t.v. in the bedroom. There is carpeting in the bedroom and livingroom. Cable and wireless internet and utilities are included. You have your own heating controls. Bright and clean (we have it professionally cleaned after each tenant). More pictures can be provided if your are interested. Street parking in front of the house. We are walking distance to shopping center with a Gym, Duane Reed, Pathmark, Chinese food, Pizza, Salon, Dunkin Donuts, Bagel shop/Deli, Bank and Gas Station. Bus stop close as well as Long Island RailRoad Train Station. This is a residential area and is very safe. Please contact if you are interested. Angelina81999ataol.com

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE T.V. IN THE PICTURE IS NOT THE ONE IN THE LIVINGROOM NOW. IT IS NOW A 40 INCH ONE.

The apartment is 9.03 miles away from NUMC if you take the Souther State Parkway for an estimated travel time of (14 minutes) or it is 10.93 miles if you take Sunrise Highway for an estimated driving time of 17 minutes). WE ONLY RENT TO MEDICAL STUDENTS.

Some comments from my past student renters:
    jutinn007
I stayed here last month and it was a great experience. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, coffee maker, a toaster oven etc. A Big
screen tv in the living room with over 500 channels. Plus the owner was really nice and catered to everything I needed. It's perfect for a
med student and I definitely recommend it.

    kyushinji
I was the tenant from 5/15/11 to 9/2/11. I will agree with jutin007 and say that it is a nice place to live. The landlord was very kind and definitely did her best to ensure that everything was in working order. There's now a small desk to use for studying. Additionally, power outlets all over the place so very convenient.

Just a little about us: I accept short term. This is my private home so if there is ever anything needed I can respond asap. The apartment is fully furnished, within walking distance to a shopping center with a new gym, drug store, food store, dunkin donuts, chinese food, bagel/deli and much more. We have wireless internet, premium cable channel package for down time, and much more. I have even conducted walk-throughs over Oovoo and Skype so you see exactly what you are getting. I am in the process of setting up the kitchen with pots, pans and more. I have gone as far as to let my future tenant arrange to ship his vehicle a head of his arrival and I will be accepting it for him. I try my best to make each student feel at home. I can imagine how it is to be so far from home alone and trying to study, work etc. We are not just renting the apartment to you... we lend ourselves if we can help we do! May sound corney but I would want the same done for my children!
    •Sincerely,

Private bedroom - Long Island - NUMC, LIJ, NSUH available Apr 1.

I own a house on the North Shore of Long Island, a 14 minute drive to NUMC door to door. The previous owners had contemplated converting the 2nd floor to a separate apartment, so they put in a door and steps to the driveway. The neighborhood however is strictly zoned for 1 family housing, so they could not proceed with all their plans. There are 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor, where I live with my daughter (now in college). I bought the house because the district is famous for its excellent schools, but the community profile is low crime, highly educated, and affluent.

The bedroom I am offering is on the 2nd floor. It has a TV with cable service inside the room, the usual bedroom furniture, and a private bath also inside the room which because this is a guest room I have color coordinated with the bedroom color scheme (not that you would care about this, but I want to point out that this bath is inside the bedroom and is not accessible from any other room, which is not the case apparently with many other setups from what I have been told by other students). I have high speed wireless internet because my job requires it.

A med student doing a rotation at North Shore Hospital will be finishing up a rotation at the end of March. I am looking for someone to replace her. I am offering this room to new residents and students rotating through NUMC, LIJ, NSUH or Winthrop. Please write for pictures.
