Each core in a different hospital

    Advertisements

Hey guys, I'm scheduled to have cores at Bronx Lebanon, Mount Vernon, Lutheran, St. John's Episcopal, Flushing, and Staten Island...can anyone help me find a safe affordable area to find an apartment where I could at least reach most of these hospitals?

    Thanks

thats a tough task, my friend. your best bet would be to live as close to grand central as possible, because you will need access to several subway lines , as well as metro north. i'd probably advise living close to grand central for all your rotation, then when the staten island rotation comes up just move to staten island.

Thats a great idea... I was looking at transit times from grand central to bronx leb and mount vernon - its around 45-50 minutes but the rest of the hospitals take at least an hour. Seems like a pretty long commute but its still shorter than places I was looking at. What about an area close to bronx leb and mt. vernon for now. I think i'll just move after that to brooklyn to reach the other hospitals faster.

So my question is - What would be the safest area close to bronx leb and mt. vernon?

if you want easy access to Bronx Leb and MVH, move to the upper east side and we can be neighbors and BFFs. MVH doesnt have subway service, so you'd have to take the metro north train from 125th street. You can get to BL using the 4 train (which is what I do now). It's easy to get to BL from the upper west side also, but then you won't be able to access MVH as gracefully. East Harlem is also a viable option.

getting to Flushing from just about anywhere sucks 'cus you must take the 7 train. Depending on the order of your rotations, it might just be better to move again. However, it's not like a long commute is 1.5 hours of dead time- you can definitely read on the way.
