Hi, just wondering if anyone has been to UF for there elective rotation and how they were able to obtain a sponser to do rotation there. I'm wondering how long or difficult it is the process? Is there any paperwork that needs to be done or provided and what is it? And is there anything else I need to do? Reply or pm is fine. Thank you for your time.
havent started my rotation yet. But the process if not very difficult. Just email (or call) the department you want to do a rotation in. What I did was I emailed the program director (I inquired about the residency, and later asked if I could do an elective there). She forwarded my request to the attending in charge of student rotating in the dep. Basically it took a long time for me because I didnt have her phone number or an easy way of reaching them (except via email), but in the end I was approved. You need to fill out a couple papers (registration app, HIPPA form, etc.) and send them in. The rest of the paperwork was handled by my advisor at meas. The registration office at UF were pretty friendly throughout the whole process.

Thanks for the response. I already sent out an e-mail to the program director 2 weeks ago and crossing my fingers for a response. I told them who I was, what year I'm in, the date range I'm interested in the rotation, my unofficial transcript and asked them if they need me to send in any additional paperwork. I'll keep you updated if I get a response or get accepted.
Well, thanks again for your help, a month after my last response, I followed up with the attending via e-mail in charge and got the sponsorship.
