AUA will no longer have trimester, anyone thinking of changing med school because of that. If yes which school would be a better option?

I think this is a positive change. Students will get actual winter and summer break, and really get time to unwind from the stressful semester.
I understand it's more time on the island, but I think it's a good tradeoff

4 months is a lot of time on hand, even St. Georges has some classes in summer.
I hope they reinstate the trimester.

I think the change will be great. However, this years January class (Jan 11) will go straight thru, correct? Jan '11 till July '12?

I'll be heading into MEDII and would have welcome the semester curriculum. This change will be very beneficial for student eduction and learning. If you take a braoder view, you will understand. If this is not a welcome change for you you can easily go elsewhere and rush to complete the basic science then have not learn nothing in the long run. Think positive. Remember, changes are made to make the school better and enhance the education we are receiving.
Just think positive and approach it with an open arm. The administration/school knows the last thing people want is change, therefore, they are not changing things for change sake.

I agree that change will give time to unwind and kill flies for 4 months. If they want us to unwind and change for better than the semester should be like a bi-semester
January to mid May and not rush the course from Jan to April.
As far as switching school is concerned I asked "if any one would and if yes which one".
