As long as you put in sufficient time, you should be fine. Premed 1&2 load isn't too bad, but premed 3&4 is packed with various science classes. I've been only here for premed 4, and the classes I am taking are micro bio, cell bio, genetics and anatomy & physiology. The typical class load is without cell bio and with the addition of organic chemistry and physics. It's a lot of work, but as you go through premed 1&2, you will get better situated with a daily studying routine. I've already got my bachelor's for philosophy from Boston College, but I have to say that I haven't studied as much there as I am doing here.

I will be graduating with my BA in Human Development, I will be missing Organic Chemistry 2 and maybe Physics 1, i am not sure if i can take Physics during summer 2011 yet. I want to apply for Sep 2011 for Pre-Med. Do you think I can get in Pre-Med 4? How do they place you in pre-med? Do you take a placement test?

By the time I apply I will have Biology 1 & 2, Inorganic Chemsitry 1 &2, Organic Chemistry 1, Stats, Pre-Calc. And maybe Physics 1.

    Thanks

hey, why not just take the rest of Organic chem and physics unmatriculated, take the MCATs and apply for a school in the states? What's you gpa like? Or just take those courses and apply directly to the med school here. Or if you really want to just go to the premed and take care of stuff here, you should call up the offices to see what can be done with your classes. They should be able to place you into premed 4 with orgo, physics, micro, genetics and A&P. You're going to have to maintain a 3.0 or 2.7 gpa in that one semester to be guaranteed into med 1. It's a lot of work, but it's good prep for med 1.

Like the other poster said..finish your pre-med courses, take MCAT...apply to US MD/DO...if that fails then apply to the big 4...if those fail as well..then apply straight to MD1 at AUA...good luck!

Because u have a bachelors, they might make u take a combination of organic chem 2 and their BSEP program which entails A&P, micro/genetics(together), and cell biology. The ideal thing for them to do for you would be making u take Orgo 2, Cell bio, micro/genetics and possibly psychology. They might make you take A&P over too, it doesn't hurt to review A&P because it helps a lot in med 1. I'm actually wondering, why don't you just take orgo 2 somewhere else ans just apply for med 1? It would be cost effective. The person you would want to talk to is Dr. Moreno, who is the Dean of AICASA, you can find his information on the aua website.
