Looking to ship in a car from the US, anyone know of a good, reliable shipping company to bring it in?

Um..do you realize how much you're going to have to pay to get it in country? For cars you have to pay 60% of their book value..plus shipping expenses of probably 2000 bucks or so. You're MUCH better off buying a used car down here..unless you have some way to get duty-free status. (Elections are coming up, but i think duty-free is only for locals).

Thanks a bunch... I know that it should cost a lot through customs, but coming from FL might not be so bad... if anyone has any customs contacts or a reliable shipping company please let me know.

No offense..but do you know the kind of "roads" down here? I use the term roads lightly btw. I mean..if it's a nice car...KEEP IT IN THE US..come down here..for less than half of what you'd pay to ship the car + duty, you can have a decent reliable "junker" car down here..like a 2000 corolla or something..People key cars here all the time..the roads have HUGE potholes that destroy not only tires..but axle's too. Keep it for the time you're down here..and if it's $4000 and under..you can probably sell it for what you paid for it. Just a thought.

I totally agree. Especially for the distance you drive the car in Antigua i would just take the money that you are going to spend bringing your car down and buy one down on the island (my suggestion). The other thing is if something does happen to your car its gonna be damn expensive to fix it. Some people don't care about the money but also remember that sometimes you take it to the garage and it takes them months on months to get the parts you want. Basically, they screw around with you. This happened to at least 2 of my friends. Fed up they just sold their cars off. If you don't really care that much about your car and plan on just selling it down there, then go for it. The roads will destroy your car (screwed up my axle a few times).
