    clinical company in chicago

    Advertisements

some friends of mine told me about a clinical company they went thru for rotation...its called AICG (american international clinical group) aiclinicalgroup. com .(cant post links yet)..located in chicago.. i managed to set a meeting wit the coordinator and jus returned...she said they need to sign a contract with aua and if that works they could start places students in core green rotations by next week in chicago...but she needs aua to sign with aicg and be willing to give up some money to them...hahaha...this could help the clinical situation if aua agrees..she took down PB info and is goin to email him...what do you guys think?? is it worth puttin the time and effort in ?

i hope AUA does NOT sign this. they should completely avoid all third-party rotation organizations. look with happened with MedStars in Atlanta over a year ago, Dr. S in Baltimore last year and now BMI in Atlanta. shady stuff goes on, half of the time you're not in the hospital that actually shows up on your transcript.

the admin and Dr. B should know better not to do business with these people.

I personally engaged in a pretty lengthy negotiation with school trying to use a 3rd party b/c I have been waiting for a long time for rotations. I started w/my coordinator, went to Romero, and finally got shot down by Bell. Dont get your hopes up.

ohhh i didnt know these 3rd party rotations were not legit!! im in chicago....and the AICG office is in chicago and i was going to check it out and see what they are all about.......but i guess the first red flag is that the company's phone number is actually someone personal cell number!!

Some companies are legit. Regardless, AUA won't approve it.

    Good for aua

I am happy that AUA did not approve it. What they are offering is not what you expect. You are not in any hospital, just in some private clinic with a doctor who is affiliated to the hospital and then you get the accrediation and credit as you did with a rotation with the hospital. Good that AUA did not sign any contract. Dont get into a sinking boat just because your boat is crowded.
