    San Juan Bautista

I'm schedule to start Internal Medicine on January 25th. Anyone know if there is an orientation of sorts? Maybe a packet or something? I tried to get into contact with Dr.Ramos, but haven't heard back yet.

Call again on Monday, make sure you don't call between 1100am-1oopm, long lunch breaks. If that does not work, wait until the second of January, they might be on Holiday vacations. I assume you are proficient in Spanish. Good luck!

School is closed until the 12th. Dr. R is notoriously hard to find. What do you need?

    Not so green

Actually nothing at San Juan Bautista is green, they have no residency programs.

They are however LCME approved, and you'll be a visiting student with actual records from this place.

    True

The post above is true. I've been doing some research also. Just because San Juan Bautista is an LCME school Does Not Mean they Have an ACGME approved Residency Program.

It is my understanding that Green Book Means (there is an/ or many ACGME accredited Residency Programs( FM, IM, Surgery, Psych whatever) w/ Residents at a particular Hospital) . But In My Opinion at Least you are rotating at a Hospital Attached to an LCME accediated medical school in the United States. And you get to learn a lot of Spanish. I think that would look Really Good on Anyones Resume. Furthermore, I've heard at this hospital You as a Med. Student get to Do A Lot ....that is sometimes more important.

    Just My Thoughts...

The only Green elective at SJB is Family Medicine. The rest are LCME certified.
