    Paperwork required for Clinicals

    Advertisements

    Hey guys,

I recently took my step and I know there are tests and other paperwork required to start clinicals. I'd like to have it all finished to mail it when I receive my score. I contacted one of the clinical advisers by email but I didn't receive a response. I also tried calling their direct lines but got the voice mail each time.

If anyone can email a document telling me what is required so I can get the ball rolling, that'd be great! Thanks in advance

lol... welcome to the world of clinicals. I had high spirits until I took my step one (i thought it would get better) and then I got just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bitter. Anyhoo, I'd send you mine but they're probably out dated. Let me know if you want them. - me

    I need what you got...

I would ask you to e-mail it, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Any chance you might kindly share that info with the rest of us by posting it here?

    Thanks so much (in advance!)

What's the latest date Step 1 should be taken by to be in good shape to match in 2011?

I would like to bring back 650's question on matching and step time. I'm sure its here somewhere on the forum, buts its prolly months old. And I'm sure someone on here has figured it out recently and can post a more current (so i can avoid searching) estimate of the latest date step can be taken to match 2011

There are SOOOOO many issues in connection with estimating match dates. The unpredictable nature of scheduling clinical rotations is probably the biggest factor...
In case you haven't noticed the many posts about this issue, bottlenecks in scheduling are not unusual. Relying on some best-case-scenario estimate that anyone could possibly give you might be setting yourself up for disappointment if everything doesn't go exactly according to plan (which from what I've read seems more than likely).

(Sorry about the reality-check -- believe me, we all share your frustration... If timing is a primary concern, just take that exam ASAP and hope for the best.)

like ATG said, nobody can predicit. my advice, take your step ASAP! the rotations are about to be flooded very soon so the sooner you get in the better. i was one of the first in my class to take the step (some of them are just finally taking it now) and because of that, i only waited a month after i got my score to start.
