what other countries can do we our electives?

I heard that some US schools allow their students to complete some electives in other countries like Guatemala, Mexico etc. Are AUA students allowed to do this as well. If so, would you recommend it and will it be easier to attain?

its risky when it comes to licensure, i wouldnt advise it

also AUA has a (good) policy of not allowing away electives to be done in non-ACGME accredited hospitals so they won't approve it.

wait till residency to do foreign electives - lots of hospitals like Harbor in Baltimore if you choose to do your internship there - allow international electives. some residents have gone to china, others to africa, etc.
