Hey I have to stay in New York to do my clinicals so I was wondering if anyone had feedback on different hospitals in New York City and their IM rotation?
I want to get a solid foundation in medicine and actually learn not just run around with tons of scut work and of course need to do greenbook, please let me know what you guys know

    Thanks so much!

Hey there. I would like to know the answer to that question as well. I am about ready to start the 6th semester clinicals, and I am trying to figure everything out. Like where to do the clinicals. I like the idea of living in one spot and not having to move every rotation. It seems like NY might be the only place to do that. Perhaps Baltimore? But certainly not Chicago or Michigan (?). How long does it take to get packaged by the loan people? I am transferring in to AUA for the clinicals, so I have never gone to AUA before. I was told I need my credit score to be above 650. Last I checked it was 688. Will I be able to get all the money I'll need for tuition and living expenses through credit-based loans? Will I need a cosigner? Damn, I'm worried I'm going to be in for some tough living for the next two years. I hope I don't have to live in some shack crawling with roaches and mice in some crime-infested neighborhood for the next two years. Also, can I realistically get all my ducks in a row before January clinicals start?

    Michigan (?).

You can do everything in Michigan if you're ok with Osteopathic rotations - which are accepted in most states. It's not worth using ValueMD as a source of that kind of information when all you have to do is pick up the phone and call the state's medical board.

    Hey Sree,

The SouthSide rotation in Long Island is Osteopathic but is also ACGME accredited. So is that accepted by all green-states like Nevada (and other states that require all green cores)?

My concern is that I want to go into Family but its a DO rotation, but ACGME accredited. So im confused what significance that it being a DO rotation has despite its ACGME accreditation?

    Thanks.
