    Clinical Rotations in Texas?

    Advertisements

    Hi,

I was wondering if one can do their core and elective rotations in Texas if they have a hospital willing to allow the students to complete their rotations in their hospitals. I know AUA is not Texas approved, but is is possible for one to do that if they have connections with certain doctors who are in charge of hospitals (like chief of surgery, anesthesiology, etc) in Texas?

    Thanks

that dr would have to get the hospital you're trying to work at sign a contract with the school.

If you find someone willing to go through that, you should try -- i tried for a lot of places in DC and AUA never followed up. I think it's because the hospitals I wanted cost too much for the school to place us there and they couldn't pocket enough of our tuition, because they were really good school affiliated with very good medical schools in the area.

    good luck
