I will be visiting St. Lucia next month before finals, I plan to visit IAU, Spartan, and Atlantic. I will get most of my information once I'm on campus but could anyone answer the following questions:

    1) Where is the MD5 semester conducted?
    2) How much are the clinical rotations, the actual cost not the advertised costs after all the extra's?
    3) Are they held at ACGME hospitals that the school has a contract with?

Good Morning Indian Guy, Sorry for the late reply. Busy at hospital. AUSOM MD5 is in the USA, excellent program, Solid Becker Review all part of your tuition, no hidden fee systems like so many others. Clinical rotations are a little over 9000 US which is excellent given they are all ACGME. Student service fee (which alot of my friends moan about) give us access to online digital library with a huge amount of basic science, clinical science and medicine resources. I use my laptop at home, my tablet and often my phone when rounding to research info all the time. Finally yes the hospitals are all ACGME and no 3rd part crap. I did not understand what the issue was with 3rd party before but spoke to a Residency Director. She explained to me that most states wont license you if you have a core or elective clerkship that is scheduled through a 3rd part provider. There are many in Illinois and you have to be careful. She explained that the med school should have a contract signed directly with the Department of Medical Education within the hospital and the hospital administration should be fully aware of your presence and offer you support. AUSOM gives us this comfort. Hope this helps Indian dude. Private me if needed..

I had lunch today at the hospital with other third years from some other schools, I am at AUSOM, they told me what they are paying for tuition and fees. GIVE ME A BREAK! I pay 9K per cliinical term and rotate right beside folks paying over 20K per term. This does not seem ...............anyway.
