Thread: Current Student at AUSOM...

Dude, where are you living? I would like someone to take over my apartment. 31 days to finish the basic science program, I can tell you I love the island, the malls, movie theatre, marina, and especially Rituals but I need to get home to the USA.

New guy! it's dudedette...lol. I wish I knew about the apts by the mall during my first semester. I live close to super j(smaller one)...I like where I am at. It's nice living here, but there's no place like home. You're lucky, you're be gone in the next few weeks. Happy for you guys. Two more semester for me in this place. BTW, good luck on your block 2 exams.

I am a 16 year old Nigerian student presently in the final year of high school. I am contemplating on either applying to AUSOM for the premed in September 2014 or doing for a 4-year degree program in biochemistry before applying to AUSOM. Based on your experience can you please offer me your candid advice?

Sorry for the late response, haven't been here in a while... So far, my experience have been great, currently in MD3. In January I will start MD4. Our classes are smaller( about 15-20 students per class), which makes learning/teaching earlier. The professors are great, always available to help; at the same time they challenge you and expect you to excell. The island is small, but the location of the school is great, cause you're close to the major shopping area, grocery stores..etc...overall great environment. Just be mindful as an off-shore school, you will encounter ups and downs. Remember you're coming for your studies, that's the most important thing. Wish you all the best.

Sorry for now reading this message. AUSOM a pre-med course for students coming straight for high school. On your part if you decide to start now, it will be advantageous to you, cause you will be expose to the medical aspect of your studies at an earlier stage. Pre-1 to pre-med 4 , then you will matriculated to MD1. You give it a try apply, I promise you will not regret coming here for your medical career. All the best to you
