    AUSOM Facilities

    Advertisements

Could anyone please tell me about the facilities at AUSOM? I can't find much on the web site or in this forum that deals with this in much detail. Specifically, can you tell me about the labs, anatomy labs, library, and the audio-visual set up in the class rooms. Also, what is the student-cadaver ratio in the Gross Anatomy class? I'm interested in starting medical school next year and this info. would be very useful to me. Thanks.

We are in the process of constructing a new dissection lab on campus. I think they started construction this week? our student to cadaver ratio is 6 to 1 and we get new cadavers every semester. The campus is undergoing some changes and a new library is planned for September, it will be on the ground floor and that's all I know about it. Personally, I can't study in a library and need to be home alone when preparing for exams. The classrooms are fairly new and fully equipped, parking is available but most students walk to class. Rumor on campus is that a Rituals will be coming to the campus but we haven't gotten any confirmation yet. Most important is that are instructors are AUSOM, I recommend you visit the campus to appreciate everything.

Thanks for the quick reply. How is the microscope lab for histology? Do they have projection microscopes? I will probably schedule a visit to the campus for next summer.
