Want to come to AUSOM?...Trust me..you WONT regret it!

    Advertisements

    Hey guys,

been a while since ive been on here. Just been busy studyin and enjoyin my ride here at AUSOM.

In short i would like to say, ive been here for 2 semesters now, and i am NOT regretting my decision to come to AUSOM. Like everyone else u keep thinking if this is a legit school, and YES it is!. No doubt its a small school, been in existence for just 3 yrs, but the changes that have happened proves that the admin and the board of directors are really working hard towards lifting this school higher.

The classes are SMALL, which is AMAZZIng!. U have such a close interaction with ur peers and the faculty that the way u learn and absorb the material makes a very big difference. Yes 2/3 professors are AMAZINg!!..who know their stuff. U do have the ocassional one that is ummm..kinda boring!...but then kaplan never fails ya!.... 3 proffs teaching us have already written their STEPS. One of them has written all 3...(he might be on his way out...but he just doesnt seem like he wants to leave)...

Professors are ever willing to help U..evn on theur lunch breaks!!..its like a Never say NO policy!.....

Like every school, the cons are...it doesnt have a big campus!..The shcool has its Own building, where the currenly the 2nd floor is fully occupied with 4 big classrooms (MD 5 is in Chicago) and faulty offices. The 3rd floor is in the process of being vacated.(the rumor i hear is more facult offices and a full fledged library)..while the ground floor...is in the process of being converted to doctor's offices/PD lab..where the MD 4 students can practse their doctor patient skills. (they currently visit a doctors office in town, where they practise DPS)

Student body is close knit..and very helpful. The cons here...some people r too nosy about other people's business!..lol

We have public clinics conducted by various clubs on campus, AMSA, PEDS, SGA,MSA (muslim students association) etc...which HELP U tremendously in mastering the various skills such as BP, Eye exams, ear exams, Vitals etc!...i know this is SOO helpful, just coz u get to put ur theory from class in to everyday practise!...

Cant think of anythin more rt now....but to sum it up!..all ill say is...if u want a good paced medical education, with a low tution and professors that really HELP u..and make u understand stuff...in a small class room setting...this is def the place u want to be!. I know i was skeptical before i came here...since i was a small school, didnt kno if it was legit etc...but im NOT regretting this one bit..!..So lemme know if u have any quests..will be more than happy to answer ya!...Good luck!...

Oh and yes..check out the ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE Facebook page...u will def see what the students have been up to!..

I transfered here and while I don't regret it I do believe I strained my brain, they make you study here and attend classes. At Windsor, I would just pay because even if you did attend classes they would loose your attendance records so you were paying either way. By the way you can not pay to have your attendance forged here.

I need to consult Dr. A (neuro instructor) to make sure my brain will heal, hopefully before finals.
