It's supposed to be a quite good school, based on the UK system. Also think they at one point at least was on the GMC list of schools where graduates didn't need to sit for the PLAB. However, I think they accept VERY few non-citizen applicants. Also supposed to be quite competitive.

Unless things have changed recently, I'm pretty sure NUS graduates don't have to sit the PLAB.

It sounds like the school encourages foreign applicants to apply and accepts a number of them...but, like PathOne noted, it's supposed to be quite competitive. It sounds something like HKU but with a better reputation. I don't think it would be any easier to get into than most UK schools.

I'm from Singapore...NUS is FREAKING hard to get into. Every year...>1000 people with 4A's in A levels get rejected...Also, for foreigners, they r bonded for 6 yrs (gotta serve govt after med sch).

NUS has very limited places for a very long time but recently realised that Singapore is falling behind in producing doctors. So now there is Duke-NUS Medical School as well. Imperial College is setting another joint program with another Singapore university NTU.
