    Advertisements

hey guys, i m an indian wanting to study mbbs in china
till now the universities i went through i found fudan university the best but admissions are already closed so i chose upon capital medical university, beijing or china medical university, shinyang . i have a few doubts about studying there main concern about that do the indian students face problems there owing to the fact india and china do not hold such great political relations plus have heard from few about agents showing the rosy picture and in reality the situation there is completely the opposite?

I am also planning to study at Capital Medical College, after speaking to a 3rd year there, Doc Zia Sakhizoi as he is known, I could give you his number in PM if you have questions, but I'm still trying to find out more from others about the place, but all round I came to the following conclusions:

    1) Most Chinese medical universities offer the same program in their english medium more or less with the exception of the top tier schools like Zhejiang University, due to the fact that we are housed in what seems to be their International Campuses instead of the main campus
    2) Ultimately globalmedic has outlined the process in what I believe to be the most comprehensive format in this thread http: // www . valuemd .com / asian- medical- schools/ 222730- basic- overview -medical- education- china. html
    3) I have not heard of political issues in any of the campuses within China, but that is an individual issue I guess depending on the person you encounter, since I've seen quite a few Indian and Pakistan Students at Capital Medicl University and none have mentioned political discrimination
    4) The only way to really know if it as rosy as they say or not, is to go the campus yourself (as I am doing) I will let you know how it is in the coming weeks as I am heading to China around the 17-18th of Spetember to do my registration at Capital Medical University

so you have no issues that you ll be placed in the international campus rather than the main campus? plus any idea about the clinical rotations? and are you from india? have you considered ukraine as your option? and why are you going to the university itself for registration? what about online registration?

I am an Indian, but from South Africa, not from India or Pakistan.

From what I concluded the English Medium programs for MBBS in China are designated in the International Campuses/ secondary campuses in most Universites (personal research cannot fully confirm) so even if I had an issue, I'm not in a position to complain.

Capital Medical University has 12 hospitals affiliated to it, but I can't lie that I know much about the clinical rotations on CCMU. You'd have to get a hold of Doc Zia as I have said, again inbox me for his number if you need to know about CCMU.

Have not considered Ukraine, but I have Romania, after reading of racism, bribery and corruption (again personal reseach) from various posts in ValueMD and other blogs/forums I have decided against it. Also comparing china in terms of living costs it does come out cheaper.

Now you ask why I'm going there, my first choice to study in china was Wenzhou Medical College, another international campus such as CCMU but based in a more cheaper and outter city area, my main reason going there was more South Africans but I had issues with my admission there and thus my agent who couldn't do more recommended CCMU, after doing my own research I can say I'm happy with the campus, but ultimately as I've said before you can't know till you go there yourself I have recived acceptance at CCMU via the agent and just doing registering within weeks to come.

I'd ignore this guy posting for recruitment, approaching universities yourself and applying works out to the fraction of the cost they charge.
