    Advertisements

After completing MBBS in china, what are the requirements in order to be eligible for clinical practice in Australia.

Also would I be able to to complete in internship in Australia, as it is my home country.

Can you please provide any relevant info or links, it would be much appreciated.

    Please help me out.

    Thanks.

You can already find answers to some of your questions in other relevant threads. Also you should check with AMC requirements for IMG's.

Internship requirements depend on the individual school, my university (Fudan) allows students to do clinical clerkships (internships) overseas given they find it on their own and pay for it on their own if there is a charge.

To be eligible to sit for AMC, you need to look on the AMC website, as there are multiple pathways to qualify. Why not google it and check it out?

    Hey Conway,
I read that you're heading into 3rd year and still contemplating just when you will do USMLE Step 1. Good luck with your year and also the USMLE (when you do it). I got a quick question. Your text books, are you able to assist me in buying a full range of texts (English)? Do they (the Uni bookshop) have any other medical resources for sale, e.g. plastic skeletons, models of joints/muscles etc.? I'm looking/wanting to buy texts, medical posters (in colour) and medical models etc.

Most of the textbooks we buy here are Chinese or Chinese versions. There is a good website from the UK that ships for free anywhere in the world called Book Depository. Look it up on Google, a lot of our classmates ordered books from there last year.

Excellent thanks for the website information. There's also another website worth noting where both new and used books and other resources from book shops/sellers can be found; Abebooks again any search engine will find it.

Thanks for good website sources! esp Book Depository and Abebook.

Hard to get English textbooks in China.
And most sites like Amazon, eBay/half.com don't ship internationally, correct me if i'm wrong.

This thread is almost a year old; since then BookDepository has stopped shipping to China (Seems like the China Post was losing too many packages)...

Amazon ships here for an extra charge, and for used books I found BetterWorldBooks to be the best source (with relatively low flat-rate shipping internationally), plus the proceeds appear to go to a good cause!
