What is responsibel for mudulating muscle tension?

What is responsibel for sensing muscle tension?

1)Golgi tendon organ
2)Extrafusal muscel fibers
3)Ia afferent fibers
4)Intrafusal fibers
5)IIb afferent fibers

thanks.

This is a hard question. I have to ask my mom for it.

I think golgi tendon organ is responsible for modulating muscle tension and intrafusal fibres are responsible for sensing muscle tension.

thanks for your contribution blrman76....so many conflicting answers int his concept. after doing muscle reflexe system so many times i still find that iam blank when i face new questns!!!

Muscle spindles monitor muscle length (helps you pick up a heavy suitcase when you didn't know how heavy it was.)

Golgi tendon organs monitor muscle tension (make you drop a heavy suit case you have been holding too long.)
