It must be Levodopa because it is a precursor of skin melanin. Read the
notes on Levodopa below. You should review Chapt 28 of Katzung for
Parkinson's.
(pg 451, Katzung, Basic & Clinical Pharmacology, Ninth edition, Lange 2004)

Some Symptoms
Rigidity, bradykinesia, tremor, postural instability that can occur for
many reasons, but is usually idiopathic

Tremor - rythmic oscillatory movement around a joint. (Tremor present at
rest characteristic of parkinson's)

Need to read pg 447-448 Parkinsonism vs Hunington's
(pg 447, Katzung, Basic & Clinical Pharmacology, Ninth edition, Lange 2004)

Drugs
Amantadine - antiviral agent found to have anti parkinson's properties
- mode of action in Park is unclear, may influence syth, release,
or reuptake of dopamine
- Adverse affects, number of undesirable central nervous system
restlesness, depression, irritability, insomnia, ... halluc,
confusion.

Levodopa - immediate precursor to dopamine.
- dopamine doesn't cross blood brain barrier and if given in
peripheral circulation, no therapeutic effect
- Best results obtained in first few years of treatment.

- Contraindications, "Because levodopa is a precursor of skin
melanin and conceivably may activate malignant melanoma, its
use should be avoided in patients with a history of melanoma
or with suspicious undiagnosed skin lesions." (pg 451)
(pg 448-452, Katzung, Basic & Clinical Pharmacology, Ninth edition, Lange 2004)

Selegiline - Look at this nih page.
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/medmaster/a697046.html#side-effects

Bromocroptine - "Parkinson's Disease and Restless Legs Syndrome. Used in
Parkinson's disease to improve motor function and reduce levodopa requirements"
Dopamine agonist, Ergot derivative, high affinity for dopamine D2 receptors

"Psychiatric manifestations occasionally occur even at lower doses and may
take months to resolve."
(pg 619-620, Katzung, Basic & Clinical Pharmacology, Ninth edition, Lange 2004)

There are other dopamine agonist drugs that are prescribed such as Pergolide, Pramipexole,Ropinirole
