Can anyone come up some Qs, D.D. and workup?

the work up plan :
1-CBC,ESR.electrolyte
2-uria / creat
3-24 hour urine volume/UA
4-U/S abdomen
5-CT-abdomen
6-I.V.P
Some important question :
When did it start
Does it becoming worse
How often does he wet the bed
Does he wet the bed everyday
Does he ask you to go to the path room during the day time
How many times does he go to the path room during the one day
Can you estimate the volume in every time he goes to the path room
Does he have any pain during urination
Does he have any change in the color of his urine
Does he have any abdominal pain
any fever.chills,
does he drink too much water or ...
apetite.weight.
Does he have any stressful events in his life
Does he have any family history for bed wetting.

depends on the child...if it is a 8-10 year old that has always wet the bed yea probably do the million dollar work up as above in stages depedning with the most likely dx.

if it is a previously potty trained child start by doing x-rays of the arms, legs, chest and genital anal exam looking for child abuse with old healed fx'x and gential damage (hymen perforation, etc). you could do an old chart review but realistically parents who abuse kids go to different providers

I never had a problem with my son on bed wetting. I had a regular routine check for my first child when was 2 and 1/2 years, I let him pee before he goes to bed at night, then at around 12 midnight, then at three o clock. And now he is already 8 yrs old and its been his regular routine.
