My
answer is D because amantadine is NOT metabolize but excrete in
theurine so patient with intact renal function is very important.

(2) Persons who provide essential community services such as policemen, firemen.
(3) Household members of persons in high-risk groups.
(4) Persons who provide home care or assistance to persons in high-riskgroups.
(5)
Any person, six months of age or older who wish to protect
themselvesagainst influenza even if they are not at increased risk for
complications.

http://medic.bgu.ac.il/supercourse/lecture/lec0652/img029.GIFBoth
amantadine and rimantadine as well as oseltamivir are about
60-90%effective in preventing influenza A infection. Oseltamivir is
also effective inpreventing influenza B. Amantadine and rimantadine, when given within 48 hoursfrom the onset of illness can reduce the severity and duration
of influenza Aillness by about one day. The propensity of zanamivir and
oseltamivir inreducing the severity of influenza A and B illness is
also about one day. Bothamantadine and rimantadine may cause CNS and GI
side effects. Amantadine hasbeen associated with more frequent CNS adverse reactions than rimantadine. Bothdrugs are excreted in the kidney.
Therefore, special precautions should be takenin giving these drugs to
persons with decreased renal function. Since zanamiviris taken by
inhalation, it should not be given to persons with underlying
airwaydisease. The primary side effect of oseltamivir is nausea and
vomiting; thus itshould taken with food.
