To all who are still studying for Step 3, I finally passed this exam with a good score (210). Its possible!! I actually studied and my primary study guides were; Crush STep 3, Kaplan Q-bank questions/book, USMLEWorld.com... the cases are good and the MCQs I thought were a good review.

My exam had a lot of questions about Pediatric rashes, so know that well. Also, know the different homopathic medications in Kaplan Q questions.

I didn't do well on CCS, but still obtained a good score. Anyway, the focus is the MCQs!

Thanks and wish you all the best!. I appreciated all the advice while I was studying for the exam and thought I would give back a little.

Congratulations....I already took 3 times studied with the recommended books and to my surprise had my score lower 8 points last time!
It is discouraging!

dam its been a long journey..failin step 3 became a habit and it was really annoying. everyone had told me it was easy and i thought it so.; all my freinds were residents and i was one too and so expected to breeze thru too!
damm i was an im resident but that didnt help. got into a lot of trouble with my program for not passing. finally took some time off and joined kaplan step 3 live lectures. saw fischers live lectures and i was blown away. took the exam right after and got an 81. not too good but it made it so easy. sometimes the mind goes into a block.. i really recommend live lectures. best value for ur money and time.
well i read this forum and let me tell u people that u all gave me hope. i love u and thank u for it. i passed in november but i was lazy and i was travelling. now i want to give back to the community and finally i have done it.
its a very simple exam if u know ur stuff otherwise u will crack ur head on the questions with wrong answers. so be smart and be high yield people. u can do thousands of questions but in the end its the understanding.

saying that i did do usmle world and this final time really studied all the explanations. 1000 qs and my average was 65 percent. i had done usmle world once before a long time ago without really studying with it.

i used cmdt , med study for refernces and they helped me alot. also did kaplan notes and that was enough. kaplan notes are very good and they are even better with the lectures and u can even hear the professors talking about the lectures in ur mind.
i did the nbme exam 10 days before and i got a 350 or 370 i think which is very borderline. gave me an mi to see that but then i studied real hard in those 10 days and i got it finally. on the final day i was like the qs are so easy are they real... the second day was a little harder for me and it was ok too. i knew i had passed after the 1st day . feel so silly for all the wasted time and half hearted efforts i made before. well i was in a bad place then and im out of it now. good luck to u all now.
