Medical "University" of Lodz tried to get free advertising!

Current student here. Here is a cute little email we receive from the "Dean's office" every Christmas, to get everyone in the Christmassy spirit..

Dear Student,

We were wondering if you could help us in promoting our University abroad.

If you are going home for Christmas and have some spare space in your luggage (https://www.google.pl/search?espv=2&biw=1920&bih=974&q=luggage&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwilrZaTgb_QAhVL1ywKHdmvBxoQvwUIGCgA) can
you drop by admission office (room no 110) and pick up some printed promotional materials
(booklets, leaflets), can you then hand them to your friends or live them at your High School.

Your help would be highly appreciated.
We’d love to know by return if you will come.

Best Regards/Pozdrawiam,

Well that gave me an aneurysm. I hope to God no one fell for this. Free advertising, and targeting young, high school students unsure of their future?[/FONT]

So classy..

If you are gonna advertise, pay for it yourself. It's not like you collect hundreds of thousands of EUROS from the English division students.

Oh and UMED just can't out-sass itself now..

Check this out:

This is from the Wikipedia article from Medical University of Lodz and I see it on 01/26/2017:

The Medical University of Łódź was founded on October 1, 2002 as a merger of the Medical Academy of Łódź (founded January 1, 1950) and the Military Medical Academy of Łódź (founded July 1, 1958).

It is the largest teaching hospital unit in Poland and a European research center.[1]

It is an average mid-ranking university in Poland that has suffered past incidences of corruption cases among the staff of the university with numerous deans and professors accepting money and sexual favors from female students in exchange for passing grades. One of the biggest corruption scandals occurred in 2010 when one of the dormitory managers Andrzej Gandek was arrested and fired for taking university funds that were supposed to be allocated for repairs of the old student dorms as well as stealing items from foreign student dormitories to auction off for money.

UMED, you have truly OUTDONE YOURSELF!!
Is that why the p̶r̶i̶s̶o̶n̶ student dorm that the students live in hasn't changed from the past 10 years, even though it was promised year after year?

And sexual favours to pass exams?? CRAP, and we actually STUDIED for those EXAMS. I thought those girls were GENIUSES!

Haha, can't wait to see what's next.
'Till next time,

No wonder the Dorm renovations kept getting postponed and no wonder the English division does not see where the money the student pay go. In addition I always wondered how this teachers who cant teach and make impossible tests do for the polish students to pass. I got one of my answers now, another one not mentioned is the constant number of past papers going around just look it up and hope for enough to repeat to pass the exams. Luckily the English division has NBME exams for some of their subjects however it becomes a challenge to do them at the American level given the mediocre teaching.
Often English divisions students were told their polish counterparts were more knowledgeable however given the mediocre teachers who are polish and seeing the polish students wait 2 hours because their teachers are just as late as ours tells me that it's a widespread problem. They in fact don't even have the American sources so I suspect they only rely on past papers and not much else, polish medical books are very outdated.
