Hi, I'm thinking of applying for the 6 year program but would like some advice first. Could any current students or anyone who is like me; looking to apply have a say here, if you're looking forward to it, or current students; how are you finding the university and the course itself? I am Polish and have been living in the UK for 10 years now and am looking to come back to Poland to study for my dream job however I am finding it hard to make a decision (I am currently studying a different subject but have found out that it is possible for me to study medicine and that is something I always wanted to do). As you can imagine its a life changing decision and so I would like to be as informed as I can be. Your thoughts and findings would help me out ALOT. Thanks and potentially see you in october! (I think it starts in october doesn't it?)

tldr; how are you finding the 6 year program at MUL? :)

I second that!
I am a Norwegian student finishing my bachelors degree in Norway, and just got accepted to the 4MD program at MUL. I am a bit concerned about all the negative comments in this forum, and I really miss some new information from current students at MUL! I am too in doubt if I'm going to accept the offer from MUL, just because I find it difficult to retrieve reliable information about the university and city itself.

As much information as possible is highly appreciated!

I can tell you that the city is awesome, there is alot of places to shop if thats what you like, plus ul. Piotrkowska has just been given a facelift and looks amazing, there are very pleasent beer gardens (especially in the summer, you can sit there for hours), pubs, restaurants, Manufaktura (shopping centre) which hosts events including concerts even and other for entartainment. I gurantee you can fall in love with it as long as you're open minded. The city centre is undergoing major works, in place to improve public transport so it really is progressing in the right direction. I have lived just outside of Łódź for the first part of my life and always go back there for the summer and major holidays to see my friends and family and I hate to leave everytime. You are going to get the odd drunk or something but as long as you ignore them they're not an issue, find me a city where there is none. The city is not something to be discouraged by.

Hi, i'm from Brazil, and i''m looking at some way to study medicine in Norway. Can you tell me how is the admission process ? It is difficult ? I know that is available only in Norwegian, but i'm willing to study in that language.

Hey szymd,

Have you applied to medical school in the UK?
I think that studying in MUL will not prepare you for a life as a physician in the UK as much as English medical schools tbh. Studying at MUL will follow you for the rest of your life and should really be a last-resort school.

The 6MD program at MUL is easier than high school in the UK or the USA, with exams mostly channeling Polish LEK questions translated into English, or the exams are NBMEs which are purely US exams. Exams and quizzes are mostly from past papers which become available to all students even before being accepted into the university.

Clinical classes are arbitrary and you will not be able to practice much, mostly just interviewing patients are taking histories.

TL DR; its a diploma mill

good luck !
