Hey Guys

I was wondering if I could be invited for an interview with a 2.4 cGPA, 2.3sGPA, and 26 (9s on the sciences and 8 on VR) on the MCAT.
I have reasons for the low GPA that I can explain, but have good ECs with 2 years of Postbac research and good recommendations.
Graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors in Science from a Top 10 public institution.

Thanks

The admissions committee takes a holistic approach to admissions. Your grades are important, but they look at many other factors in addition to those grades. If you have successfully completed the pre-reqs, have at least 90 credits and submit all the documentation necessary to complete your application file, you'll be invited to interview. I can't guess your chances, but I can promise your application will be treated with respect. No one on the committee will look at your grades only and dismiss you as a candidate. We'll take time to learn about what motivates you, what happened that caused the lower grades and what might make you successful in the future. If the admissions committee finds you to be a great candidate but lacking in foundation work they may refer you to a program to help build that foundation or provide guidance on how to prepare yourself to apply for a future cycle. If they decide AUA isn't the best place for you to pursue an MD, at least you'll have that information. I know it's hard to put yourself out there without having an idea of the outcome, but if this is a field you're passionate about, I encourage you to give it a try. I'm happy to help with any questions about the application process. Good luck.

Thank You for your response, it means a lot that AUA takes a holistic approach and will listen to me. I was planning to apply soon, but was a nervous wreck so I just wanted others opinions.
