Hello everyone

I am looking for the countries where my friend could simply be a general practitioner, just after my 6 years medical studies in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty ( a really good one, but in Turkey) , He is registered with ECFMG already if it helps. and somebody told me that it was possible in Puerto Rico just to work as a general doctor with this specialisation.

Is anybody knowing about it?

thanks!

Marianne

The best place for this info. is from the FSMB.org, then click on Peurto Rico and there is contact info. there. PR requires 1 year PG education for licensure. With an ECFMG certificate, one may be eligible for a residency slot, but check with the Board about this. How is your Espanol? Most PR residents are not fluent in English.
