Am I eligible for claiming unemployment while studying for comp shelf? I would also use it to make loan payments. How can I do this?

PM me if you have done this.

auastudent1 is an imposter speaking on behalf of those 200 students who recently got dismissed due to failing comp shelf grades.

You really need mental help. Why are you posting stuff like this? You got 5-6 shots at the comp shelf including a practice comp in which you came no where close to passing and now you wanna just suck more of your parent's money getting more shots at a comp shelf?

Listen, even if AUA makes you "Pass" comp shelf and magically AUA lets you into clinicals by hook or crook with a low step 1 score, YOU WILL NOT MATCH!! AUA has raised it's step 2 CK comp shelf pass to 76. which means only those who scored >230 from AUA and transfers from Ross can pass step 2 ck.

auastudent1 is an imposter who is trying to ruin it for those in clinicals and for those students who have a legit shot of scoring high on step 1.

I think you have to be previously employed in order to get unemployment. You're just a broke med student. We've all been there. Suck it up and deal with it.

Did AUA actually dismiss those students who failed the comp 3x?

6 shots. AUA gave 6 shots. Some of my friends at clinicals say 50 passed step 1. Word on the island is 50-60. But the official word is approximately 30-40 passed step 1. The rest either withheld from taking the comp after failing 4-5 times and transferred to other carribbean schools, others failed comp shelf 6 times got dismissed and others appealed to take the comp shelf at a later date.

Oh ok that's crazy. I'm also from the aug2011 group and also in clinicals. I was wondering what happened to most of the class since I haven't seen anyone in rotations. Well now I guess I know what happened.

Out of curiosity, what are the people who were dismissed even doing now? I am prospective AUA student. Thanks!

Save yourself the headache and go to SGU or AUC

1) Please keep the Terms of Service in Mind. No more warnings!

2) You can't claim unemployment unless you were already working full-time. Unfortunately school does not count as you were not at an employer who was paying into unemployment insurance (State/Federal Unemployment taxes).
