I was wondering if anyone has experience scheduling rotations after you have completed 9.5 semester. As you know 72 weeks are required for graduation currently I am in need of 8 more weeks to graduate. AUC does not charge tuition beyond the 9.5 semesters so next semester I will not be charged tuition. Do I still qualify to receive any of the federal loans? I plan to contact the school in the coming weeks but wondering if anyone has experience with this. Thanks

I was under the impression that as long as we are taking 8 credits then we will qualify for finaid. It would be great if you post back once you hear from the school for sure in case anything has changed since I heard last.

Yes you are correct. After checking with the financial aide office any student rotating for at least 8 weeks after completing 9.5 semesters is eligible for financial aide.

Maximum number of semesters for clinicals is 7. If you do one day during the semester it counts as one of the seven, even if you don't do enough to get financial aid. So, start and stop dates do matter. Example, start Dec 15th and go through May 15th, off May 16 to July 31, start again August 1 - you did rotations during 4 semesters but only qualified for tuition for January semester and September semester. Now you must finish by mid Dec of the following year to complete the 7 semester rule.
