Hmm…so I am planning on attending CMU in spring 2013. I went through the enrollment process which was strange to say the least. I called the US office and was transferred to the school in Curacao. I was instructed to speak to the Dean who also does admissions. So I spoke to Dean Tomczak who strangely told me he was the only American Dean that currently works in any Caribbean medical school (not sure if that is true, but seems a bit extreme). He not once asked me my name or my qualifications, just told me to apply and I’ll be fine. Did anyone else have a similar experience? I have 73 credit and reading the previous post about the above has be second guessing about CMU. I have also heard this school closed down multiple times? Any answers will help!

No offense, but do you seriously need to ask if this is unusual? What other options are you looking at and where are you located?

History of cmu

CMU doors opened in 2007 July. Closed in 2007 September.
CMU renamed and opened again as AGU in 2008. Closed again.
CMU Opened again in 2009 closed again in 2009.
CMU opened again in 2010 closed again in 2010.
CMU opened again in 2011, killed a student and is opened since forging charter documents.
They will close again as soon as the political landscape changes in the island. Because everyone knows
about the quality of CMU.

Offer of free tuition and free grades will not get you residency or licensure. If you are lucky you might get to take USMLE exam.

Buyer beware. Don't be stupid.

well 90% of VMD comments are rumors and made up stories. i am not going to waste my life and brain cells on VMD comments such as this one.
