View Full Version : CMU - No Michigan Licensure

Hi, brand new to VMD, this is my first post....

I just got accepted to CMU, so naturally I did my research on VMD and from what ive read, this is a bad school or its a good school, depending on the writer. I see that a lot of older posts were made in '07 when the school first opened up so naturally there are going to me negatives.

Just a couple questions to start:

1. On CMU Wiki page, (Caribbean Medical University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caribbean_Medical_University)) it says that there is Licensure Restriction on states of Michigan, Maine, Oregon? Why is this? This is a major issue because im from Michigan and I deff want to to be able to practice in my home.

2. CMU says they are going to try and get NY approved...what is the time table on getting approval and anyone know the chances of it actually happening.

This is just the first school Ive been accepted to and im hoping for more to come, but nonetheless, I am still considering this school bc I can afford it.
