lol, Chancellor M is a genius...gets sgu spots, makes sgu look very philanthropic and makes the NYC medical schools look cheap...esp the statement that said NYC med schools are not producing enough primary care doctors to meet the city's need...they want the hospitals to give their students free spots but aren't willing to give back to that same city...and here sgu is giving back to the city that is helping to train its students...marketing at its best!

Here's more information from SGU website: New York City Deputy Mayor Linda Gibbs Announces Partnership Between New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation and St. George’s University to Award Medical School Scholarships (http://www.sgu.edu/news-events/news-archives12-nyc-deputy-mayor-city-doctors-announcement.html)

A good picture of CM looking very tan compared to the other person he shaking hands with.

A sentence I found very interesting with the link I provided:
"St. George’s University will also award the value of two full-tuition scholarships every year for the next four years for each HHC hospital that provides at least 24 clerkships"

This kinda makes the hospitals in HHC network that refuse to take SGU students look bad. A friendly incentive for all HHC hospitals to at least take 24 SGU students.
